HEALTH & SAFETY
Safety is a top priority in the mining industry. The Arizona Mining Association (AMA) supports health and safety professionals by hosting a safety committee for its members. This committee discusses evolving regulatory guidelines and best practices. The meetings are open to all employees of member companies.
The AMA proudly celebrates achievements in safety with the annual SAFE MINER Awards, which honor the importance of safety and recognize our members’ commitment to upholding it. Next nominations TBD.

Members of the Arizona Mining Association value good stewardship of the natural environment. They recognize the significance of producing metals for our society’s modern living, emerging technological advancements, and energy evolution while minimizing environmental impacts during the mining process. Thousands of mining industry workers and their families reside in Arizona and are committed to operating sustainably in the communities where they work and live.
