Core Value
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT & RELATIONSHIPS
The Arizona Mining Association fosters open communication and encourages engagement with our communities. We educate and strengthen the bond between the mining industry and the people of Arizona, recognizing that mining is crucial to supply chains and that the minerals we mine are key components that make modern life possible.
Members of the Arizona Mining Association recognize that a thriving community means investing in the well-being of those who live there. Whether it’s through educational initiatives, environmental stewardship, or support for local businesses, mining companies are dedicated to making a positive impact in the communities where they operate.
Join a Committee
Company membership benefits extend to its employees. We encourage employees to join Arizona Mining Association committees relevant to their position to stay abreast of the current issues, help further the mining industry’s initiatives, and strengthen their professional network.

AMA Supplier Committee Funds the Purchase of Replacement Scoreboard
On May 24th, This generous donation came after AMA and Florence Copper heard about the need to replace the scoreboard that was originally installed in the 1970’s. The scoreboard, located on the football field, will serve football, soccer, unified sports, physical education students, and the FUSD community for years to come. “Florence Copper is proud to partner with the Arizona Mining Association to provide a new scoreboard to Florence High School,” said Stacy Gramazio, manager of communications and public affairs for Florence Copper. “We hope that this donation will be enjoyed by the students of Florence for many generations.”
AMA Supplier Committee Promotes Emergency Training to Arizona Schools
The Arizona Mining Association’s Vice Chairman Jeff Fericks of Milex Technologies coordinated the training of a dozen representatives from Arizona school districts to receive emergency training from MobilizeNow.
The training focused on immediate response treatment to stop blood loss, tourniquet dressing, and CPR. The event was funded through the support of the AMA Supplier’s committee and AMA mining member Resolution Copper. Each school represented at the training will receive a MobilizeNow unit containing emergency response medical supplies and devices and mobile app continued training.
In honor of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, this Pollinator Garden showcases Arizona Mining Association’s commitment to biodiversity and the community in Arizona. This landscape design requires little irrigation and features native desert species. This project was completed in partnership with the Arizona Nursery Association, Arizona Rock Products Association and the Wildlife Habitat Council.
Mining Day at the Capitol is an annual free event that features hands-on activities and demonstrations by exhibitors who support the mining industry (mining companies, academia, non-profits, and state agencies) to share the importance of mining in society’s everyday lives and to showcase the vital role mining will play in clean energy technologies. The student program includes lunch for over 200 students and a student toolkit to help maximize their experience.
