JTED Foundation (JTEDF) and the Arizona Mining Association present the JTEDF Mining Institute on May 27-29, 2026. Application deadline: April 15, 2026.

The JTEDF Mining Institute delivers immersive, multi-day tours designed for Career and Technical Education instructors in industrial manufacturing, offering hands-on experience and in-depth insight into today’s mining industry. The institute will help educators bridge the gap between classroom instruction and real-world industry practices, empowering them to prepare students for careers in mining. 

Through tours and hands-on learning, instructors will gain a broad understanding of:

  • Mining’s operations
  • Safety and environmental best practices
  • Technology and innovations
  • 200+ careers available

TOUR NOTES 

  • The tours involve extended periods of walking, the use of stairs, outdoor conditions during the summer months, and time spent in enclosed spaces.
  • Closed toed-shoes, pants and shirts with either short or long sleeves are required.
